Ilê Aiyê has already been awarded several times as the best Afro-Bloco in the Bahia Carnival. The band Aiyê currently consists of 100 percussionists, trained and conducted by the masters Marivaldo Paim, Mario Pam and Carlos Antonio Kehinde. Afro dance is a fundamental feature.
